Harry Culver had a long and distinguished career in Oklahoma journalism. After working at various small state papers, he joined United Press International in 1950 and served as a political and government reporter covering Oklahoma politics. In 1984, he retired from the wire service and became the public information officer for the Oklahoma Office of State Finance. He worked for this office ten years.
