William B. Pine was elected as a Republican from Oklahoma to the U.S. Senate in 1925. He served on the Appropriations, Banking and Currency, and Indian Affairs Committees. After his 1930 defeat for re-election, Pine resumed his business interest in the oil industry. He was an unsuccessful candidate for the governorship of Oklahoma.
