Sir Walter Scott letter and fragment, 1808-ca. 1831.

The collection consists of two items: handwritten letter to My dear sir, possibly Reginald Heber, 26 April, ca. 1808, signature cut out. The letter serves to introduce Henry Weber, collecting metrical romances for his 1810 book, Metrical romances of the thirteenth, fourteenth, and fifteenth centuries. Also, handwritten address and fragment, attached to card, probably unrelated, ca. 1831. Addressed to The Duke of Buccleuch & Queensbury, probably cut from a folded letter. Fragment, likely a correction to an historical document, clipped from a larger source.
