The collection documents the functions, activities, and concerns of this neighborhood association in Northwest San Antonio from 1990-1993, and consists of a 1991 annual report and issues of the Association's newsletter. The newsletter is titled Great Northwest Passages and changed over to a newspaper format in May 1992. Each issue contains a message from the president and the community manager, a report on actions taken by the Board of Directors, community news, a calendar of events, and articles on activities for members. Six issues are in newsletter format and are dated Aug-Dec, 1990 and Feb-Dec, 1992. Ten issues are in newspaper format and are dated May-Oct, 1992, and Jan-Mar and June of 1993.

The private, non-profit corporation is one of the largest homeowners associations in Texas and encompasses the subdivisions of Emerald Valley, Village Northwest, Ridge Creek, and Silver Creek.
