Two hand-colored sixth-plate daguerreotypes in one leather case of portrait paintings of George and Martha Washington. The portrait of George Washington was originally painted by James Sharples in 1796; the portrait of Martha Washington was originally painted by Robinson in 1790, possibly after a portrait by Charles Willson Peale. The photographs were taken by John Strubb, ca. 1845.
