Miscellaneous items from several companies. Includes correspondence, 1927, to the Appleton Co., Lowell, Mass., concerning selling bales of cotton; one style book, ca. 1930, in an envelope labeled, Bliss, Fabyan, giving information on loom width, finished width, colors used, etc., plus typescripts listing various mills with information about profits and renovations, 1903-1922; Bliss, Fabyan, located in Boston, was the selling agent for the Appleton Co. Also includes a document dated May 2, 1933, headed Boston Duck mixes; Boston Duck was in Bondsville, a locality in Palmer, Mass.; miscellaneous business records of the Boston Manufacturing Co. (Waltham, Mass.) giving information on company assets, blank forms used, and a notebook, 1921, of dye formulae which includes yarn samples (swatches); four blank forms, one from the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture Horticultural Board, headed Licensee's Notice of Receipt of Imported Cotton, others from an unidentified source and headed: Form of Tare Return; Form of Weight Return; and Form for Grading a Product; and notes on the history of cotton manufacture, especially in New Hampshire, from an unidentified source.
