The collection consists of black & white photopostcards which were photographed and processed by Albert De Leo. Most contain correspondence that he sent to family while he lived and worked in Alaska. Includes scenes of the railroad construction camp and the railroad, Native Alaskans, scenics around Cordova, Kennicott, and unidentified coastal areas.

Albert A. De Leo was born October 14, 1874, in St. Cloud, Minnesota, to John and Hattie De Leo, the oldest of five children. A brother, Roy, worked in Cordova as superintendent for the Copper River & Northwestern Railway. Albert was in Alaska from July 1909 until January 1914, possibly working as an accountant for the railroad during its construction.
