The collection, 1948-2001 (scattered), undated, consists mostly of materials documenting Lantzsch's work with the Down River Community Resources workshop, 1966-1967, including photographs, negatives, workshop materials, and two oversized reels of 16 mm film. Also included are Biographical Materials (photocopies), 1966-1967, 2001, undated.

Lantzsch, Hans

Lantzsch was born on Aug. 7, 1923 in Germany. He emigrated to the U.S. at the age of four with his mother and brother. After service as an Army medical corps master sergeant with the Third Army, he was commissioned as a second lieutenant. Lantzsch was awarded the Bronze Star for meritorious service. He earned a B.A. from Central Michigan University (1948), and a M.A. from the University of Michigan (1950). Lantzsch was also a Ph. D. candidate at Wayne State University.
