Brophy papers -- Frank Brophy general files, 1882-1975.

Summary: Family correspondence, manuscripts, legal papers, photographs and scrapbooks concerning Frank Brophy's family and personal interests including ranching, horse racing, and support for charities. Manuscripts consist of extensive letters to the editor written by Brophy as well as his historical articles, speeches, and research about such topics as the Babocomari Ranch, Nellie Cashman, horse breeding, banking and politics. There are legal papers from his purchase of the Babocomari Ranch, records of breeding of horses and cattle, and documents about the American Institute for Foreign Trade (Thunderbird School), Brophy College Preparatory School and various charitable organizations. Also present are photographs of family members, homes and the Babocomari Ranch as well as scrapbooks containing newspaper clippings with a few photographs and letters.
