Complaining that "the Sanitary fellows are such terrible people" to change the date of a meting on short notice, and lamenting that he will not be able to attend. Mentioning that his work "is very hard just now" and that "it is not the time it would take [for the meeting] that is of importance, but the putting of [him]self out," but that he remains "sincerely anxious to serve the cause."
