Relaying that though Thornton Hunt "has been very anxious to accept," he "unwillingly declines" [the assistant secretaryship of the General Board of Health]. Thanking him for the report, noting that he began reading it the previous night in bed and that he "dreamed of putefraction [sic] generally." Agreeing to an intended excursion.
