Save Outdoor Sculpture! surveys were undertaken by the National Institute for the Conservation of Cultural Property to gather information on outdoor public sculpture in the U.S. The photocopies of these surveys and color photographs give information on 15 public monuments in Salem, Mass. Vermont SOS was part of a national project of the National Museum of American Art, Smithsonian Institution, and the National Institute for the Conservation of Cultural Property.
