Mentioning that, due to Wills' "concussion of the brain," Dickens is obliged to see to all of the business details of All the Year Round, and is very busy. Referencing his trip to America and all the correspondence he must catch up on. Noting that he just traveled to Paris "to look after the French version of No Thoroughfare," which he left "a very great success." Hoping that the Macreadys will visit, and mentioning that Katie's husband [Charles Collins] is ill and not likely to recover.
