The United Lutheran Church (Grand Forks, N.D.) was formed from three of the original Lutheran congregations established in the city. Zion Lutheran and Trinity Lutheran merged in 1917 to form Bethany Congregation, and in 1926 First Lutheran joined Bethany to create United Lutheran Church.
