[Letter] 1858 April 12, Staunton [Va.] to [John Albert Broadus] / Geo. B. Taylor. 1858.

Wrote about the revival going on in his area: [Cornelius?] Tyree has been preaching excellently, but not quite so powerfully as I had expected. Congregations not so large as when you were here, partly because both the Methodists and Lutherans have been in full blast. You may have heard that the Methodists here have been having uproarious times--shouting, hugging, and kissing, ad libitum."
