Southern Baptist missionary to Italy, 1873-1907. Son of James Barnett Taylor, secretary of the Foreign Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention for twenty-six years. Led in establishing the Baptist theological school in Rome, Italy. Served on the commission for revising the Italian New Testament.
