Letter from Emilio Altieri, who later became Pope Clement X, to Pope Urban VIII, written in Rome on July 26, 1641. Altieri informs the Pope about the behavior of an unidentified clergymen, according to a report he had received from the cleric of Nettuno, Francesco Caracci. Altieri considers the situation a potential threat to the reputation of the Church and implores the Pope to take prompt action to resolve the problem in a timely fashion and prevent a scandal.
