Noting that Dickens is obliged to remain in Kettering until Monday and that during his absence [George] Hogarth is reading the proofs [of Sketches by Boz]. Mentioning that Dickens is "perfectly satisfied" with Macrone's arrangements with [the printer Charles] Whiting, and inquiring after Mrs. Macrone.
