Albert B. Stridsberg Papers, 1955-1976 and n.d.

Collection (3000 items, dated 1955-1979) contains miscellaneous correspondence, memos, reports, speeches, and printed items relating to Stridsberg's career at JWT. Substantive material on the agency's international offices and clients. Contains publications on international marketing of tobacco as well as speeches by Rena Bartos and other officers of the company. Acquired as part of the John W. Hartman Center for Sales, Advertising, and Marketing History. (94-111). Addition (23 items, dated 1956-1976 and n.d.) comprises printed material (21 items, 1956-1960) and two 16mm film reels containing TV commercials. Printed material includes issues of a serial, "Motivations" (1956-1957), and other bulletins published by Ernest Dichter's Institute for Motivational Research. There is a "Catalogue of Television Commercials Monitored Off-the-Air for Competitive Research" by U.S. Tele-Service Corporation (1960). Commercials are copies of Coca-Cola campaigns by McCann-Erickson agency (n.d.) and a 1976 reel from Dancer Fitzgerald Sample. (00-444).
