Includes contemporary copies of three acts "at the Parliament begun at Westminster the 17th day of September an. Dom. 1656," as printed by Henry Hills and John Field, "printers to his hignes." Leaves 1-2v: An act for the security of His Highness the Lord Protector his person, and continuance of the nation in peace and safety (Wing E1123); leaf 2v: An act for the taking away the court of wards and liveries (Wing E1134); leaf 3-3v: An act for renouncing and disanulling the pretended title of Charls Stuart &c. (Wing E1064); as well as the crossed-out title on leaf 3v (the act itself is not included): An Act for the exportation of several commodities of the breed, growth and manufacture of this Commonvvealth (Wing E1110). Also includes copy of a proclamation by Oliver Cromwell, as reprinted by Christopher Higgins, on leaves 3v-4v: By the Protector, a proclamation for the better levying and payment of the duty of excise (Wing C7153A).
