A collection of 44 letters written by Kindig during his tenure as an Iowa Supreme Court justice as a part of a survey of other states regarding the issue of insurance on the states' law libraries. Also included is a compilation of the survey results.

Sioux City, Iowa lawyer. Kindig was admitted to the Iowa Bar in 1907. He served as an attorney in Sioux City (1907-1915); assistant Woodbury County, Iowa attorney (1915-1917); assistant attorney general of Iowa (1917-1918); Iowa Supreme Court justice (1927-1935).
