Hershel Zohn papers, 1932-1975.

The collection includes much of what Zohn wrote during his academic career, many of his students' works, and official Theatre Department records and correspondence from the period Zohn served as department head. Many materials concern theatre productions, and consist of play manuscripts, prompt books, programs, correspondence with guest artists, and photographs.

Theatre director and professor at New Mexico State University from 1950-1975. Zohn began his theatre career in New York during the 1920s. He earned a Masters of Arts degree at the University of Denver in 1949. During his tenure at NMSU, Zohn toured the Far East with the student troupe, the Playmakers, saw a new campus theatre built, chaired the Southwest Theatre Conference, and guest-directed plays in Mexico City.
