Papers, 1970, include: daily journals (2 v. and typed transcriptions), Sept. 12-Nov. 3, 1970, documenting the campaign of William's father, Russel Lee, who ran unsuccessfully for the Michigan State Senate in the 37th District in 1970. Also included are 25 black and white photographs (measuring 5x7 inches) documenting the campaign. William noted the various towns and events they attended, and his impressions of people and politics.
