Springfield Plantation Account Book, Dec. 14, 1841-Dec. 1, 1853, is filled principally with daily entries pertaining to a ferry run in connection with Springfield Plantation in Adams County, owned by John A. Quitman, and also contains inventories of supplies and livestock, lists of slaves, records of sales of wood to steamboats and information on other matters concerning the management of the plantation.
