Miscellaneous collection of printed form letters, 1842 and 1867. Included is a letter appointing Abraham W. Pike, Postmaster of Sheldon (Ottawa County, Mich.). The letter, from Philo C. Fuller, 2nd Assist. Postmaster General, Washington, D.C. is postmarked June 5? Also, a letter to the unnamed Postmaster of Newaygo (Mich.) from George W. Lella, 2nd Assist. Postmaster General, dated March 13, 1867, noting that Big Rapids (Mich.) may be omitted from the Newaygo Post Office's delivery route no. 12670.

Fuller was born in Mass. on Aug. 13, 1787. He moved to N.Y. (State) where he served as a member of the N.Y. Assembly and Senate. In 1837 he moved to Adrian (Mich.), where he served as a Representative from Lenawee County and Speaker of the House, 1841. Fuller also served as Assist. Postmaster under Pres. Harrison.
