Collection of miscellaneous items about or created by Lyon. Included are a newspaper clipping (copy), ca. 1931, source unknown, about Lyon and the Kalamazoo centennial; a fading daguerreotype of Lyon in a lockable case; and letters (2) from Lyon. The first letter requests a certified copy of a deed from E.H. Lotthrop, Register of Deeds in Kalamazoo for S.I. Daniels, dated Detroit, March 26, 1848. The second letter concerns taxes Lyon paid on land and is addressed to H.B. Huston, County Treasurer, Kalamazoo, dated Grand Rapids, Jan. 10, 1843. Also included is a typed transcription of the second letter.
