Including two manuscripts, 12 and 13 Apr. 1862, re listing slaves employed in Captain Leake's company and 13th Regiment, South Carolina Volunteers; manuscript, 15 Apr. 1862, instructions re act of Congress on conscription of troops requiring all persons between eight-teen and thirty-five years of age in the service of the Confederate States of America for three years or the war, supplying the number of persons to be assigned to each unit of the army, and stating that all corps of twelve month volunteers have the right to elect their own officers.
