Income tax return, 1866-1867.

Income tax return for Brown in Parma Township (Jackson County, Mich.) from the U.S. Collector's Office, District 3, Mich., dated May 1, 1867. The return form was printed, with additional information added in handwriting. It was pasted onto another sheet of paper at some point in the past and is still attached to it. Brown was taxed for an income of $496, a carriage, and a pianoforte. The return was signed by William Page, Deputy Tax Collector.
