The collection contains a group photograph of the 1943 football team with player Horace L. Pearce, Jr. identified on verso; two snapshots of a football game at Scott Stadium; a group of men and women beside Cabell Hall; two women on the steps of the Rotunda; and a group, including three men in naval uniforms, with Grace Collier Hutcheson identified on verso. There is also an enlargement of a photograph of the glee club of George Wythe Junior High School, with John Powell and Horace L. Pearce, Jr. identified on verso; and, a photograph of the dirigible "Roma," possibly at Langley Field. The collection also contains a clipping from the Newport News Times-Herald, Nov. 21, 1949, concerning the death of U. Va. football player Gene Edmonds, in an accident near Scott Stadium.
