Correspondence (copy), dated Sept. 23, 1944, from Best, while serving in the United States Army in World War II, to his friend Louis Camden in Ferndale (Mich.). In the letter, Best inquired about mutual friends and mentioned general topics and "pushing h--- out of the Jerries." The letter has a censor's stamp mark. One word was blotted out by the censor.
