Edwin Gerschefski papers, 1932-1994.

The collection consists of material divided into two parts. Part A consists of a variety of material including correspondence, school notes, teaching material, printed material, cassette and reel-to-reel-tapes, and a number of scores in printed as well as working form. Although most of the scores are by Gerschefski, there are also a few by his wife, Ina, and others (Box 30). Also in this section are notes Gerschefski took while he studied under Joseph Schillinger (Box 3). Part B consists entirely of scores both in printed and working form. Scores of many of the same pieces of music can be found in both Parts A and B.
