Sarratt; reports on the Amchitka Sea Otter Survey expedition; lectures by Zeusler on Alaska and oceanography; two folk tales by Paul Selbok of the Gambell Eskimo Council; a diary of Father LaFortune; and other papers on Alaska and the coast guard. Frederick A. Zeusler was born in Maryland. He graduated from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in 1911. His career included sea duty in the Bering Sea, Arctic Ocean, and North Atlantic Ice Patrols. He served as an oceanographer, navigator, executive officer, and captain. Zeusler also was a lecturer at the University of Washington, and an instructor at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
