Autograph letters signed from Capel Lofft to various recipients [manuscript], ca. 1795-1799.

(1) to Geo. Dyer, 45 Carey St, Lincoln's Inn Fields. Gives his name and that of Mrs. Spence as subscribers to Dyer's friend's poems (possibly Charles Lamb's 1796 publication?) and refers to the proposal for publishing Mrs. Spence's poems. Also mentions R. Garnham's Outlines of a commentary on Rev. XI. This letter is undated; conjectured date of 1795 based on publication dates of the works mentioned. (2), to Messrs. Vernor and Hood, Booksellers, Poultry, consists of Notices & memoranda of celestial phenomena, an account intended for the Monthly mirror. Also, with (2), a printed portrait of Capel Lofft, published by Vernor & Hood in 1802.

2 items ; 23 x 19 cm.
