Born in Louisville, Kentucky on January 1, 1934, David Eberhard is a graduate of Concordia College, Fort Wayne, Indiana and Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri. He holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Divinity degree. He married Beverly Jacobs, and they had five children. After his 1959 graduation from the seminary, he was assigned in 1961 as pastor of Riverside Lutheran Church in Detroit, an urban congregation on the lower east side. Rev.
