Colorado Chautauqua : people on burros. 1899-1901.

Photos of Chautauquans riding burros which were available for rent from 1898-1911. Most women rode side-saddle. Views include the fountain in front of Academic Hall, the Idylwilde Cottage, row cottages and tents, the apple orchard, Flatirons views, and one of Louis Rischar by the water tower; there is also a donkey-drawn cart with three women in it.
