UCSD Natural Reserve System records, 1948-1999.

Administrative records of the UCSD Natural Reserve System. The records include academic plans, annual reports, budgets, correspondence, maps, meeting minutes, photographs, public relation materials, and species lists. Included in the collection is a subset of records pertaining to the UC Natural Land and Water Reserves System. The four sites managed by the UCSD Natural Reserve System are Kendall-Frost Mission Bay Reserve, Scripps Coastal Reserve, Dawson-Los Monos Canyon Reserve, and Elliott Chaparral Reserve. Ryan Oak Glen Reserve was acquired in 1973 and subsequently sold in 1987.

UCSD office responsible for oversight of four ecological reserve sites in San Diego County. The office was formally established in 1965 and renamed to its current name in 1983.
