Arnold Eagle papers and film related to Hans Richter's Malevich animation, 1927-1981 (bulk 1970).

This series contains Hans Richter's incomplete animation film based on a Kasimir Malevich script from 1927, as well as documents related to the joint production by Richter and Arnold Eagle in 1970-1971, and Eagle's repeated attempts to complete the animation after Richter's death in 1976. The documentation explains some of the difficulties confronted during the film's production, and reasons for its unfinished condition. Materials include Richter's filmscript and storyboards, copies of Malevich's script, Eagle's autograph notes, photographs, color slides, 16mm color film and audio tracks.
