This collection documents the state constitutional convention primarily, and also contains campaign materials dating from 1964-1970. The campaign materials contains correspondence, speeches, legislative reports sent out to constituents, and Attorney General opinions on the legality of running for office while simultaneously serving in another government position. The constitutional convention materials contains reports, committee proposals, studies and convention proceedings.

Weldon Osborn Yeager was born on July 26, 1922 at Hillsboro, Ohio. He received his B.S. degree from Wayne State University. He was appointed by Gov. Romney to serve as director of the Workmen's Compensation Dept. (1964). He was elected to the Michigan House in 1968, representing the 17th District.
