Josephine G. Mentley St. Lawrence and North Country Studies Award.

The collection contains papers, submitted by St. Lawrence University students, written for the annual competition since its beginning in 1992. The topics of the papers vary greatly from the Adirondacks, railroads, industry, agriculture, education, health issues, social problems, St. Lawrence University, Native Americans, and the environment to name a few. The one common factor is that all papers relate to the North Country.
