Papers, 1891,1931, and undated, include: biographical materials, speeches while a Michigan Representative, 1911-1915; business, political, and family correspondence, 1904-1931, most of which relates to veterans, the Michigan National Guard, Loyal Americans of the Republic (an organization), and Michigan Chapters of United Spartans in America. There is correspondence, 1909-1915 with Fred M. Warner, Governor of Michigan, and George A. Loud, a Michigan Representative. Also included in the collection are: American Expeditionary Forces field books, circulars, rosters of troops, histories, memorial lists of the dead; scrapbooks of the Michigan National Guard, 1903-1904, Prohibition articles, 1915; and the Bay City (Mich.) United Spartans of America, 1905-1906; papers of his brother, Emil B. Gansser, 1903-1914; World War I photographs, mostly of the Michigan National Guard, 1st Battalion, 33rd Infantry, Co. B, 3rd Michigan, as well as Wenona Beach, Camp Bliss in Manistee, Alpin Beach, and a Spanish-American War veterans banquet; and oversized French, German, and European World War I published maps; and published maps of Camp MacArthur (Tex.), Fort Leavenworth (Kan.), and the National Guard grounds in Ludington (Mich.), ca.
