Shows plantation on Saint Catherine Creek in Natchez, Mississippi. The plantation formed part of Charles Louis Auguste Fouquet, duc de Belle-Isle's land concessions in provincial Louisiana. Identifies buildings, slave quarters, cleared fields and canals; keyed to references 1-23. From French army officer Dumont de Montigny's 1747 manuscript memoire of his experiences in Louisiana between 1715-1737 (Ayer MS 257).
