Eugene Thwing's red-keg: taming the competitive spirit, 1984.

Seventeen page paper, dated May 3, 1984, presented for "the cultural heritage of the Midwest", the Society of Midwestern Literature at Kellogg Center, Michigan State University. Includes notes and bibliography. The paper is based on Thwing's books Red-keggers (1903) and the Man From Red-Keg (1905), both of which describe Michigan logging. Both books are in the Clarke Historical Library.
