September 3, 1868?, letter to Ely Samuel Parker, a Seneca Indian and Civil War army officer who the following year would become U.S. Commissioner of Indian Affairs. Street asks for the Indian names of the Indian Pass and other landmarks in the Adirondack region of New York for his soon-to-be-published book, The Indian Pass.

Seneca sachem born at Indian Falls, Genesee County, N.Y. in 1828; raised on the Tonawanda Reservation.
