Consists of proceedings of Patrons of Husbandry meetings held in Canton and Milbank, including committee reports, lists of resolutions and votes, and the address of Worthy Master, E.B. Crew; a program announcing the 5th annual meeting held at Brookings; an 1875 broadside; and several circulars defining the activities of the Grange. The 1874 report was written by N.E. Nash, secretary of the organization.

Agricultural society. First organized near Vermillion in 1872. In 1873 a territorial organization was formed with 25 additional granges.
