Summary: Collection consists of one 1982 Open Hands newsletter and six audio tapes of oral history programs held in 1993 and 1994 to raise money for Open Hands. The programs featured long-time Santa Fe residents who spoke on a variety of topics. The speakers included Myrtle Stedman, Pablita Velarde, Concha Ortiz y Pino de Kleven, Edward T. Hall, Marjorie F. Lambert, Sallie Wagner, Eva Larragoite, Ernestine Evans, Marguerite Claffey, Frank Ortiz, Anita Thomas, Dickie Pfaelzer, John Conron, Nancy Knox, Jean Seth, Lloyd Kiva New, Sam Ziegler, Virginia Mackie, Philip Schultz, Marian Love, Abe Silver, Letta Wofford, and Ben Ortega. Most of the speakers discussed their experience living in Santa Fe and how the city has developed. Some of the general topics covered include art and art galleries, schools, doctors, merchants, and the Catholic Church in Santa Fe.
