Photocopied and transcribed Civil War letters of brothers George H. Wood, William P. Wood, also known as Billy, and Charles W. Wood, 1862-1865, to their parents and siblings, and letters from their father, George Folger Wood in the 1870s. Also, there is a photograph of the three brothers and family genealogy. The letters were copied and transcribed in 1997 by Richard Dunbar, son of Winsor S. Dunbar.

Winsor Dunbar is a retired Central Michigan University (CMU) professor from the Dept. of Industrial Education and Technology. Richard Dunbar graduated from CMU in 1970. The three Wood brothers all apparently joined Wisconsin regiments in Madison (Wis.) when their parents lived in Sauk County (Wis.).
