Summary: As of 1997 collection consists of records of the New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department and some of its predecessors (1915-1991). Includes reports and other documents concerning the 1968 New Mexico Tax Act and 1969 New Mexico Constitutional Convention; files on unclaimed property; and reports of the New Mexico Special Revenue Commission (1920-1921). Also within the collection are various documents that were declared unclaimed property after they were found in safe deposit boxes at failed New Mexico banks (1915-1991). Among these documents are deeds, abstracts of title, and contracts.
