The Historical Review Committee was established in 1973 by the County at the behest of County Executive James Gleason and the Montgomery County Historical Society to oversee the History Project, whose goals were to produce a written comprehensive history of Montgomery County and to locate, inventory, and reproduce its basic historical records.
