Two letters: Dec. 31, 1770, to Samuel Cooper, pastor of Boston's Brattle Square Church, describing instances of longevity mainly among the Mashpee Indians of his acquaintance (forwarded in 1793 to Dr. Nathl. Freeman, Sandwich); and Aug. 10, 1775, to Eleazar Wheelock, founder and president of Dartmouth College, praising the preaching to the Indians of Wheelock's student, Samuel Gilbert, and hoping that Gilbert might receive payment from Mr. Phillips of the commissioners (probably of Company for Propagation of the Gospel in New England and the Parts Adjacent in America)
