Files contain minutes; reports; bulletins; pamphlets; and contributors' name cards issued by council committees (i.e., Neighborhood; Military; Women; Food Production and Conservation; Cook County Auxiliary; Liberty Chorus; Civilian Personnel; Subcommittee of Fuel; Home Registration Service; Advisory Committee on Electrical Industry; Committee on Spyglasses, Binoculars, and Telescopes for the Navy; Draft Board; War Business; Engineering and Inventions; Highways Transport; License Committee for War Aid and War Charities; War Gardens; and the Women's Directing Committee for Children's War Gardens); and other war-related agencies and organizations (i.e., United States Fuel Administration; Non-War Construction Bureau; Commercial Economy Administration; Illinois Volunteer Training Corps in Cook County; YMCA; YWCA; Red Cross; War Savings societies for Liberty Loans; Knights of Columbus) which were compiled for an official state war history. Also included is a service honor roll showing veteran's name; rank; regiment or ship; enlistment place and date; along with the name, address, and relationship of close relatives.
